Hey ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to V/s game! In this match, I tell you how it is. As always we have two opponents. But how odd is it that friends who both love the same thing( namely, travel) are pitted against each other. But nevertheless, they will fight with the same burst of energy as all of our boxers.

In the Red corner, on the underdog side, we have with us the Tourist! Representing all those families with vacations always around the corner, the tourist is one person you will see everywhere you go. This guy crops up in millions all around the world. Give it up for TOURIST!
In the Blue corner, is the cocky but with reason to be so, the Traveler. This guy is that one friend of yours with a DSLR who thinks he is living the life of Bunny from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani! Keeping all jokes aside,

The traveler takes his profession very seriously. So make some noise for the TRAVELLER!
Are you Ready? Ready! Set! Match!
The two have entered the rink, and the traveler looks angered at the thought of always being compared to and confused to the Tourist. It looks like he will rain his wrath on the poor guy! Guys, Do you think they look alike? If you think so, prepare to have your opinion tested. Let’s go right to Round 1
[ Buzzer]
Traveler with all the might in the world on their shoulders. The Tourist is flabbergasted. The Tourist is more of a visitor and perceives himself to be so too. He goes to all these places as a getaway from his regular life. Travelers, however, are more often in their travels. They do not do it as a pass time, for them, it is a serious thing. They spend a lot of time and effort on it. To them, it is a lifeline.

Round 2
In this round, the Tourist stands as an outsider. When he visits the spots of travel, he does not blend in. You can very well recognize him amidst the locals. You will see him in his cap and fanny pack, and most often carrying a map with him. He learns a few words of the local language and tries out a bit of the food with a doubt in his mind. The Traveler, on the other hand, tries his best to emerge himself in the local culture. He strays from the expected spots and goes down the road less traveled. This doesn’t always go as planned. But at least he has under his name a list of unplanned, but unforgettable memories.
Tourists and Travelers may have their own issues, but at the end of the day, they are both united for their love for travel. It just means different things to them. There are things one can do to be a good Tourist, like trying to blend in and understand the culture, and not disturb the everyday life of the locals. There are things Travelers can do as well. For one, maybe stop with the drama against Tourists? We can’t all live the dream. You should be really glad that you can. But I’m sure you can encourage and co-exist with them. There’s a place for everyone who wants to travel( well maybe not in India, but we’ll take place don’t worry!)
So ladies and gentlemen! This has never happened before in our competition. But this is the first time, we have no winners.

I’m so glad you stayed till the end. The most persistent and dedicated people have to be travelers. So are you on #TeamTraveler or on #TeamTourist?
Let us know immediately! The bets have already begun!
Have a Great Day!
